Maritime Cranes and Components Ltd have extensive knowledge of past Seward Wyon projects, with sole access to past designs.
We can assist with consultancy, inspections and spare parts. In addition, we have external capability to provide fabrication of crane mats, spreader beams and other structures formerly supplied by Seward Wyon.
Since 1981, Seward Wyon offered a wide range of services within the specialist field of heavy lifting and moving, becoming a recognised specialist engineering contractor within the UK ports sector. Typical projects included crane refurbishments, relocations and assembly for both port operators and crane OEM’s. The expertise and capability of the in-house engineering department also led to involvement with projects throughout Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong, USA and Africa.
Seward Wyons expertise led to expansion beyond the ports sector to include offshore lifting and handling equipment, oil/gas structures, bridge structures/civil engineering and equipment for the power generation industry. The establishment of an in-house manufacturing and testing facilities provided the opportunity for clients to source the design, manufacture, test and installation of bespoke mechanical handling equipment from a single contractor.
NDC KRAANBOUW
Maritime Cranes and Components Ltd continues to support NDC Cranes as UK sales and service partner.
With over 25 years of collaboration, we have delivered numerous rail mounted gantry cranes and portal cranes to UK port operators and naval facilities.
A family run company based in Oosterhout, Netherlands. NDC International has delivered numerous bespoke cranes, with every project being designed, manufactured and assembled by an in-house dedicated and experienced team. The manufacturing facility is located close to inland waterways and provides direct access to Rotterdam port, facilitating shipment of large crane components.
In addition to the manufacture of new cranes, we also undertake refurbishment, repairs and upgrades for both NDC and other crane brands.
BRELX
Maritime Cranes and Components Ltd has been appointed as the authorised European sales and service partner for Brelx storm brakes and rail clamps.
Braking systems can be retro-fitted to existing cranes and mechanical handling equipment, or supplied directly to OEM’s.
Brelx is a young and dynamic company that challenges existing storm brake designs and concepts. As a division of the Portal Crane Group, it benefits from over three decades of experience in providing parts and services to the material handling industry. The determination of a strong team of engineers and service professionals has resulted in cutting edge designs in storm brake practices. We are experts in crane braking systems such as storm brakes, service brakes and emergency brakes.
We have expanded our product lines to include hydraulic wheel grippers for bulk material rail car dumpers. All Brelx hydraulic equipment is powered by our hydraulic power units.
sfPORTEQ
Maritime Cranes and Components Ltd has been appointed as the authorised UK sales and service partner for sfPORTEQ spreaders.
We supply a range of spreader systems and spreader spare parts exclusively sourced and supplied from sfPORTEQ.
Providing a range of high-quality crane spreader systems for intermodal container handling. The spreaders have been designed with a focus on maximum operational reliability and productivity, whilst simplified maintenance tasks deliver reduced downtime. Design is undertaken by our experienced team based in Västerås, Sweden with manufacture completed in Portugal.
In addition to the supply of new spreader equipment, we also specialise in the supply of spare parts for both sfPORTEQ and other spreader brands, together with the maintenance, refurbishment, repair and upgrades to crane spreader systems.
